Thinking Pink for Charity

£692.66 raised for Breast Cancer

Students turned the college pink with a major show of support to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and raised a fantastic £692.66.  The fundraising day saw a plethora of pink-themed fundraising events, with students attending in pink fancy dress, having dyed pink hair and pink painted nails.  Pink cakes and pink friendship bracelets were also on sale at the 'Pink Cafe' and 1,600 metres of pink ribbon was used to decorate the college building and grounds.

To raise awareness and challenge the myth that breast cancer just affects older women, students designed posters which were displayed around the College and at Grangefield School, reminding people it is a disease that affects both women and men of all ages.

A great day was had by all, and a fantastic sum of money was raised for a very worthy cause.  Well done everyone!
