GCSE English is a most highly valued qualification, and the skills you develop on an English course are vital in almost all other academic subjects.
This course must follow the same lines as Key Stage 4 of the National Curriculum with which you will be familiar. It is, however, adapted for older students and so the subject matter is more mature.
For the 20% written coursework, you write about literary texts and produce imaginative and facual pieces of work. There is 20% oral coursework, based on activities spread over the year, many of which are carried out within a small group.
