What does the course consist of?
- Developing a wide range of practical skills – graphics, sound & video editing, developing web sites, interactive multimedia etc
- Developing the skills to analyse, design, implement, test and evaluate new systems
- Learning about how ICT can help people in the real world – banks, shops etc
- Learning about the Internet – Shopping, Downloading Music / Films, Social Networking & Email
What are the entry requirements?
- At least 5 A* - C passes at GCSE
- A grade C or higher in GCSE ICT or equivalent (if this subject was taken)
- A grade C or higher in GCSE English Language
How is this course assessed?
- AS – 1½ hour written exam on theory work
- AS – 1½ hour written exam testing understanding of practical work
- A2 – 2 hour exam based on an ICT scenario and theory work
- A2 – Coursework - Create and document a multimedia project of your choice.

- ICT leads on to a wide range of careers and university courses including ICT, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Web Site Design etc
