GCSE ICT

During this course you will use word processing, spreadsheet and database packages.

You will learn to choose, use and design information and communication systems to carry out tasks and solve problems in a variety of real-life situations, e.g. home, business, recreation or industry. The capabilities and limitations of these systems are then evaluated. The course will also develop an awareness of legal, social, environmental and economic implications and effects of Information and Communication Technology.
 
Coursework consists of two tasks (60% of marks) using spreadsheets and databases to develop systems for real situations. Examination is one 2-hour paper (40% of marks).
