Why should I choose this course?
- I am interested in a career in the travel and tourism industry

What does the course consist of?
- A Single Award (equivalent to one AS or A-level) or a Double Award (equivalent to two AS or A-levels). The Double Award offers a more specialised course, while the single award is a valuable addition to an AS/A-level programme, offering breadth and variety
- Finding out about the places tourists go to and how the travel and tourism industry operates, including customer service and marketing
- The opportunity to take part in field visits to destinations such as Blackpool, York, Barcelona and New York
- For some students, a 10-week paid work placement will be available at the end of the second year. This will take place in a hotel in Spain
What are the entry requirements?
- At least 5 A* to C passes at GCSE
How is this course assessed?
- Two-thirds of the course is assessed by coursework
- One-third is assessed by an end of year exam
What might this course lead on to?
- Many of our students go on to university
- Employment in the travel & tourism industry
