What you need to know

Becoming a host family would mean welcoming an International Student into your home and offering them:

• a furnished room of their own
• bed, breakfast and evening meals Monday to Friday
• all meals at weekends, over holidays and during study leave
• laundry facilities

Ideally, you should live close to the college.

Currently host families are paid £85 per week for these services and may negotiate an additional cost with the student for lunches, telephone, internet etc if these are also provided.
