Very high levels of attendance are vital to achieve success at College. Avoidable absences such as holidays are not permitted unless there are exceptional circumstances.
For many courses starting in September the main examinations for both AS and A2 students will begin in May. Some AS/A2 courses will have examinations/assessment even before that in January and some in November. Many courses involve elements of coursework with many interim deadlines.
For these reasons, except in exceptional circumstances, we will not normally allow holidays in term time. If any parent/carer/sponsor believes that there are exceptional circumstances, this must be discussed in advance of booking the holiday.
