We warmly welcome you to a very stimulating and rewarding culture of Stockton Sixth Form College; where care, respect and hard work are the values at the heart of how we operate as a college community.
We believe that education can transform the lives of individuals and we understand that learning can offer new and exciting life opportunities for us all. Indeed, it is our absolute belief in the positive power of education that motivates our fantastic members of staff in all that they do. We strive to create an environment in our college that is fair, supportive, inclusive and friendly.
The most important aspect of our college is the professionalism and compassion that our staff bring to the organisation, providing a caring and enriching learning environment for all students where their needs are given utmost priority. We are driven by the desire to support our students fully, understand their needs and provide a conducive environment where they feel safe and included.
At Stockton we offer a wide range of A Levels, BTECs and a suite of level two courses for students who want to strengthen their qualifications before progressing onto the next level. The college prides itself on its high levels of attendance and retention, the meeting (and exceeding) of target grades and its success in securing student destinations to both higher education and apprenticeships. We consistently help a significant number of our students to progress to the most prestigious Oxbridge and Russell group universities studying on the more competitive courses. Similarly, our programmes attract many students who want to improve their occupational competence and secure apprenticeships.
We want to assure you that we keep building on our solid reputation and success for educational excellence. Delivering a curriculum that fulfils the future workforce needs, enhances personal growth and enables students to meet their career goals. You will find that the college prides itself on the intrinsic value of learning and plays a vital role in helping students to step into adulthood. In achieving this, our partnership with students and parents is based on the desire to improve continuously by listening to each other and refining your learning experiences.
Thank you for choosing our college and playing a sterling part in maintaining your interest in education during some very difficult times of the recent year. We are very much looking forward to seeing you in September and be part of our organisation.
