Message from the Principal

Stockton Sixth Form College offers a positive and dynamic learning environment where students are given the support and guidance, but also the independence and freedom, to prepare for their next step to university or employment.

We offer a wide range of courses, from A Levels to Level 3 vocational programmes, and a variety of opportunities to enhance learning outside of the classroom.

Ofsted recently recognised our many strengths including high expectations of students, high success rates and high quality teaching, judging the college to be ‘Good’ across all areas.  In their report they noted: “students make good progress in improving their knowledge and skills” and “leaders have very successfully created a culture of mutual respect and tolerance”.

Our small, friendly and welcoming environment and inclusive ethos sets us apart from other local colleges. You will feel safe, supported and respected with us, regardless of your starting point or additional needs. With average class sizes of 15 we can offer one-to-one input from teachers who are experts in their field, as well as support to ensure each student is progressing and on track to achieve their very best.   Our exam results – both for A Levels and Level 3 BTECs – are consistently above the national average and the overwhelming majority of our students achieve their expected grades.

We have an exciting vision for our college and the community we serve, and I believe it’s a fantastic time to join Stockton Sixth Form. I look forward to meeting you at our Open Evening events and showing you all we have to offer.

See you soon,

Joanna Bailey
