15 students at Prior Pursglove and Stockton Sixth Form College have recently won medals in the British Biology Olympiad, a national competition for 16 to 18-year-olds.
The British Biology Olympiad is a worldwide competition open to only the top achieving Biology students. It consists of two one-hour multiple choice papers to be taken online under staff supervised exam conditions and just over 9,000 students took part.
This year’s competition took place between 1st – 8th February 2019, its aim is to challenge and stimulate students with an interest in biology to expand and extend their talents. It enables students to demonstrate their knowledge and to be suitably rewarded with publicly recognised certificates and medals. Top scoring students will be offered the opportunity to attend an award ceremony in London
