Stockton Sixth Form College has the highest student achievement rate in the Tees Valley, according to new government league tables.
Data published by the Department for Education earlier this month places the college at the top of every local sixth form college or general further education provider for student achievement, a figure which indicates how many students complete and successfully achieve a qualification after starting a course.
The college’s 2013/14 achievement rate topped 93%.
The news comes after Stockton Sixth Form was named best in the area for student success in 2014 and follows an Ofsted inspection which judged the college to be ‘Good’ across all areas.
Joanna Bailey, Principal at Stockton Sixth Form College, said: “We were thrilled last year to have the highest student success rates locally, and delighted to see our name at the top of yet another important league table.
“Our continued success is testament to the hard work of our fantastic students and committed staff.”
