Resource Centre Assistant, 32 hours per week, term time only, permanent contract

We are seeking to appoint a Resource Centre Assistant to assist with the day to day running of the Learning Resource Centre and contribute to its continuing development.  You must have excellent people skills, with the ability to relate to young people and adults in a calm, reassuring manner.  In addition, you will need to have excellent organisational and office skills, including the use of Microsoft Office software.

This is a flexible role within the Administration team. It will be predominantly based within the Learning Resource Centre, but on occasions you will be expected to carry out work in other areas within the team within your capabilities. For example, it could involve production of materials, photocopying, assisting with College events, covering main reception and general admin tasks.

Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday, 8.45 am to 3.45 pm and Friday 8.30 am to 3.00 pm, but a flexible approach to scheduling work time is essential, as occasional evening or weekend work will be required to cover college events such as Open Events and Parents Evenings.

Salary Scale:               SFCA Support Staff Pay Spine Point 3-6

Actual starting salary: £13,515 per annum (based on an FTE of £18,612 per annum)

Faculty Secretary, 21.5 hours per week, term time only, permanent contract

We are seeking to appoint a Faculty Secretary who can provide a high standard of administrative support to Faculty Managers and teaching staff, including producing materials and setting up and maintaining administrative systems which support students. You will need excellent organisation and communication skills, as well as a high level of IT competency.

This is a flexible role within the Administration team and you will be expected to provide regular cover on reception.  On occasions you will also be expected to carry out work in other areas of the college within your capabilities, such as providing cover in the Resource Centre, assisting with college events or other general admin tasks.

Trustee (Finance Sector)

Tees Valley Collaborative are seeking to appoint a Trustee from the Finance sector to our Multi-Academy Trust Board as we enter an exciting stage in our development.

The ideal candidate will be a chartered accountant with experience and a proven track record at a senior level.  Experience of governance and/or strategic planning would be an advantage, as would experience of audit processes.

Our Trust Board meets five times per year in meetings which start at 5.30pm and typically last two hours, taking place in Guisborough or Stockton.

Our Trust is eighteen months old and is in an interesting growth stage where financial expertise is of great importance to provide challenge and support to the CEO and CFO.

Teaching Staff – Casual Contracts

We are looking for teachers to join our pool of casual staff at the Prior Pursglove site to teach across a range of subjects, primarily for our post 19 Adult Provision.  This will include evening and outreach work.  Subjects to be covered include; Early Years, Health and Social Care, Assessors Award, Business Administration, IAG.

Some subjects are delivered via distance learning, so experience in this type of delivery will be useful.

Salary will be paid as an hourly rate, plus holiday pay, based on the relevant point of the SFCA Teachers’ Pay Range.

Teaching Staff (Casual Contracts) – Additional Information

Exam Invigilators, casual contracts

We are looking for people to join our team of Exam Invigilators in providing assistance in the day-to-day operation and administration of exams at either the Prior Pursglove or Stockton campus.  This is seasonal work, with the majority of exams taking place during May and June each year.
