Aviation Operations

Course Duration: 2 years Course Level: BTEC Level 3, BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma
Aviation - Aviation

The Aviation Level 3 Pathway is a brand-new two-year program for 16-19-year-olds and it focuses on three key areas:

  • Industry: how the aviation industry operates safely and securely, and why.
  • Operations: : how airlines and aviation operators utilise their aircraft in day-to-day operations and how they work.
  • Sustainability: what the aviation industry is doing to address environmental and sustainability challenges as it moves into the future.

The course focuses on the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours that industry needs. Its unique features are its focus on real-world integration with the curriculum subjects. Students who complete the Level 3 Pathway receive industry Certificates, which can pre-qualify them to enter jobs or the next-stage Pathway when they reach the age of 18, subject to their exam results.

Our ‘Pathways’ are structured and industry-specific educational and training programmes designed to prepare individuals for careers in the aviation industry.

Aviation Generation stands out for several reasons:

  • Industry Partnerships: we collaborate with aircraft manufacturers, airlines, airports, and various other partners. This partnership network provides students with access to training materials and opportunities to join the aviation industry through pathways such as degrees, degree apprenticeships, and direct-entry schemes.
  • International Reach: we work both nationally and internationally, making it a valuable resource for aspiring aviation professionals in the UK and beyond.
  • 21st-Century Relevance: we are committed to providing education and training that aligns with the demands and expectations of the 21st-century aviation industry, ensuring that students are well-prepared for careers in this dynamic field.

Our forward-thinking aviation training and education offers a structured pathway for young individuals interested in pursuing careers in aviation. Through partnerships, curriculum integration, and a focus on sustainability, we aim to prepare the future for aviation to meet the industry’s evolving needs.

Here’s what individuals can expect when they sign up for a Level 3 Aviation Course with us:

  • Alignment with Industry Needs: The curriculum is designed to meet the specific needs of the aviation industry, rather than solely focusing on academic requirements. This means that the training provided is tailored to what the industry demands.
  • Industry-Experienced Trainers and Instructors: Courses are delivered by professionals who are actively working in the aviation industry or who have direct experience. This ensures that students benefit from the most current industry knowledge and practices, as opposed to educators who may not have direct industry experience.
  • Tech-Enabled Learning: The curriculum is enriched with tech-enabled learning equipment, materials and resources directly from industry partners.

Overall, individuals signing up for the Aviation Generation Level 3 Aviation curriculum can expect a high-quality, industry-relevant education that equips them with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to pursue a successful career in the aviation industry.

Level 3 Qualification: Upon successful completion of the age 16-18 Pathways, students receive a full Level 3 qualification. This qualification is equivalent to three A- Levels, which are advanced-level qualifications in the UK.

Our pathways are designed to bridge the gap between education and industry requirements, providing students with a valuable and practical education.

This course is available as a single, double or triple award.
