We are thrilled to announce a new partnership between Stockton Sixth Form College, part of the Tees Valley Collaborative Trust, and Middlesbrough Football Club.
Established in 2017, Tees Valley Collaborative Trust is a multi-academy trust based in the north-east. It is dedicated to fostering a love of learning through high-quality educational provision, inspiring every learner to reach their full potential while contributing positively to their community.
Liam McGuinness, MFC Head of Commercial, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are delighted to begin this collaboration with Tees Valley Collaborative Trust and believe we can work closely together for mutual benefit. The trust’s commitment to improving life chances for young people in our region aligns with our own objectives, and we are excited to support their goals and enhance opportunities for learners in the local community.”
Michael Mackin, Head of Centre for Stockton Sixth Form College, added: “This partnership is an exciting opportunity for the Trust and its member colleges and schools, including Stockton Sixth Form College, Prior Pursglove College, Errington Primary, and Bishopton PRU. We look forward to working closely with Middlesbrough FC to develop links that will enrich the educational experiences and opportunities for all our students and pupils.”
This partnership opens up a wealth of opportunities for our students, including the chance to explore the inner workings of a professional football club from a business perspective as well as exclusive opportunities and once in a lifetime chances which we haven’t been able to provide before. These unique learning experiences will not only enrich their education but also equip them with the skills needed to excel in their future careers.
