Learning Support

Here at Stockton Sixth Form College we are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment where students can thrive and reach their potential. The college welcomes applications from all and is committed to providing appropriate resources, facilities and services to enable all students to succeed.

We support students of all abilities both in and out of the classroom, throughout the full range of courses.  We welcome discussions with prospective students and employ a problem-solving approach to ensure we are able to meet your needs.

Before you enrol at college, we can offer information on the support available to you and an assessment of your personal needs. We will arrange a one to one tour of the college and can liaise closely with your school to ensure your transition to college is as smooth as possible.

We can provide the following support:

  • Enhanced transition, supporting you through the process of applying and settling in to college
  • One to one support in lessons and study periods
  • A dedicated ‘Quiet Room’ for students who need it
  • Support with study skills
  • Exam access arrangement assessments
  • Access to equipment such as laptops
